8mb is too small, and they should really increase it. This would be good for most users, and now file-sharing on Discord should be more convenient. (change the server boosting perks this time: level 2: 100mb, level 3: 250mb) Or if you can even handle more, this would be great! (maybe the server boosting perks should be still the same, level 2: 50mb, level 3: 100mb) Go to the ‘Settings’ menu, then, on the left panel, drop down the list until you find the ‘BetterDiscord’ section. Once installed, download all the themes and plugins you want from their official website. If a Discord instance was running on your PC, it might close. I think this is already good enough for most people: First, download and install the free BetterDiscord file we provide you. Discord should increase it's file size limits for free, and also nitro users.
Some people might comment here, 'can't you just compress your files by using a compressing application, or just use a third-party online cloud drive to send your file?' It's too inconvenient, it'll like take a few minutes more just sending a file using these methods that's also small but is just a few kilobytes bigger than 8mb. You can't even send a 30 second camera recorded video showing your problem, can't send a 15-minute speech recorded from your phone's voice recorder, and can't even send a photoshop file with just a few layers. What can you even do with 8mb? You can only send pictures and very small files most of the time. Even other big messaging platforms like Telegram, has a bigger limit (which even goes up to 2GB), and they can handle a lot of users.
Seriously, Discord file size limit is way too small.
